Run through the breathtaking landscapes of the Salzkammergut — past crystal-clear lakes, forested trails, and iconic peaks — with panoramic views over Salzburg, the world-famous City of Mozart. Though the race now finishes in the alpine village of Fuschl am See, the spirit of Salzburg remains woven into the course. From the ridgelines, runners glimpse the baroque skyline of this UNESCO-listed city, where music, architecture, and alpine scenery blend in perfect harmony.

Fuschl am See – Where Alpine Beauty Meets Trail Running Legacy

The 2026 edition of mozart 100 marks a new chapter: a fully alpine experience that begins and ends in Fuschl am See — surrounded by crystal-clear lakes, panoramic peaks, and centuries-old trails. The course takes runners through the heart of the Salzkammergut, with highlights such as the picturesque village of St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang, the climbs to Schafberg and Zwölferhorn, and sweeping views over Salzburg from the ridgelines.

This new venue honours the legacy of Mozart, whose family roots trace back to the region, while offering a race that is more scenic, natural, and technically diverse than ever before. Whether over the full 120 km or one of the shorter distances, participants are immersed in a trail running experience where culture meets endurance, and every kilometre tells a story.
