A New Chapter for mozart 100 by UTMB®
For more than a decade, mozart 100 by UTMB® has taken athletes into the heart of Salzburg – Mozart’s city – where culture and endurance met in every stride. From the Kapuzinerberg to the baroque old town beneath the Hohensalzburg Fortress, the race brought together athletic challenge and cultural heritage.
A new chapter begins
In 2026, mozart 100 by UTMB® moves to the Salzkammergut, with Fuschl am See as the new heart of the event. This stunning region – already familiar to many as the starting point of the mozart Ultra – will now become the centerpiece of the entire race. It’s a natural evolution: from the cultural heartbeat of the city to the scenic diversity of lakes and mountains.
In Mozart’s Footsteps
The new venue continues to honor the legacy of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. His mother was born in St. Gilgen, and the landscapes around the Fuschlsee and Wolfgangsee Lakes were deeply connected to his family and to Salzburg’s cultural identity. Runners will now follow historic paths – from centuries-old pilgrimage trails to villages that have inspired artists and musicians for generations.
Why this venue elevates the experience
